Store Coupon Policies
3-14-11Mrs. Jennifer,I hope this message finds you faring well.Thank you for submitting your comments to Lowe’s, we appreciate your business and value your comments.I apologize for the difficulties you encountered at the Lowe’s on 82nd & Slide Friday. It is not our intent to stop taking valid online coupons. That store has taken several high dollar fraudulent coupons and that caused the Store Manager to decide to stop taking online coupons.I spoke with his supervisor this morning and he assures me that the stores in Lubbock will accept valid online Manufacturer’s coupons. We cannot stop taking coupons just because a few people are abusing the system. But we do have to remain aware of the fraudulent coupons. The stores in Lubbock should accept Valid Manufacturer’s coupons that scan at their POS as long as all coupon requirements are met. They will be extremely reluctant to take any FREE with no purchase coupons, as most of these are fraudulent. Please contact me, if I can be of further assistance.Have a great day.Thank you,
Michael Murphy

Coupon Policy
Updated 5/13/11
We are happy to redeem your coupons. However, because of an increasing number of counterfeit coupon and other coupon-related fraud, United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos United abide by the following policies:
- We accept two types of coupons: those issued by United and those issued by manufacturers.
- We are unable to give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item.
- We are unable to accept coupons from competitors or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
- We do not accept copied or mechanically reproduced coupons.
- We accept “Internet” printable coupons.
- The coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.
- All printable manufacturer coupons that are “Free” or “Dollars Off” are verified through the Coupon Information Corporation, which was founded to encourage integrity in connection with the redemption of manufacture’s coupons (See www.couponsinc.com for more information).
- A manufacturer coupon and a United Supermarkets coupon can be redeemed on one item, but any other type of coupon stacking is not allowed. Two or more of any other types of coupons on one item are not accepted.
United Supermarkets reserves the right to accept or reject any coupon. We thank you, our valued Guests, for your understanding of these policies.
Chris James, Regional Vice President

Dear Jennifer,
Thanks for asking us about using coupons at Target. Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it’s easy to use them at our stores. Because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target.
When accepting coupons, we use the following guidelines:
- We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued and manufacturer-issued.
- We’ll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
- We can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we’re able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
- We can’t accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
- All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you’re checking out.
For questions about using a specific coupon, we encourage you to stop by the Guest Service Desk and ask to speak with the Guest Service Team Leader. They’ll do their best to help while you’re in the store. If you still have questions after speaking with them, please call our Guest Relations team at (800) 440-0680. Either way, we’re here to help!
We appreciate the opportunity to share this information with you.
Sincerely, Daniel, Target Guest Relations

- When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.
- When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.

Thank you for contacting the Customer Care Department. Due to our already low, closeout pricing, we do not accept manufacturer’s coupons or internet coupons. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Have a nice day.

Thanks Stacy!
Thanks for the coupon policies.
Thank you so much for the coupons policy, but I will like to know more about supermarkets I try to redeem manufacture coupons and printable coupons at shoprite and they dont want any printable coupons, even though I call he office and they say okey to print coupons now they say that they wont take them also I notice that thery have double coupons but they do not double some manufacture coupons I ask the cashier about why they didnt double eventhough the manufacture coupon didnt have any thing like do not double coupon and they just told me that the computer take some and some not. I really believe that if a coupon doesn’t say donot double or something else the store should follow what they preach, like double or triple coupons.
The policies can vary by store manager. All you can do is print the policies and take them with you to try to fight it. Mostly stores decide not to take printable coupons because they have had fraudulent ones in the past. Just stick to printing no more than 2 per item and see if they will work with you.
Any knowledge on Sun Harvest’s coupon policy?
hmm, I’ll write them and see if I can get it. Just fyi, I have used coupons there myself so, I know they take them.
On the Walmart coupon policy, do they honor the price of a sale item that states ‘with card,’ for example CVS sale prices with the CVS card?
I’ve never tried it, but their policy says they match the price in the ad, so, I would say it’s worth a try. Just ask upfront before you make your purchase. Let us know what happens!
Does anyone know if united supermarkets accepts coupons on items that are for sale?
Yes they take them! In fact my whole blog is based on their sale items and coupons to go with those sales. As well as Target, Walgreens, CVS, Lowe’s, and Sprouts.
